In a Hole in the Ground…

In a hole in the ground there lived… Well, it wasn’t always a hole, and it wasn’t always in the ground, so please understand that this isn’t about a hobbit. It’s about archaeology: local, hands-on, and down-to-earth.

In a house in the ground that wasn’t always in the ground, there lived… And that’s the part that is important: Who lived there?, and When?, Why?, What happened to them? and Where are they (or their descendants) now? Those are some of the questions that archaeologists are willing to get down and dirty for.

(This blog is still under construction…)
